Good to know
- The Vionic Alma is constructed to keep the feet supported during long periods of use. It utilizes the brand’s Advanced Motion System (AMS) technology, which is the combination of light and breathable mesh upper, cushioned midsole, and a podiatrist-designed orthotic insole.
Made for women, the Vionic Alma is available in US sizes 5 to 11, including half and full sizes in between. As for the width, it comes in both B - Medium and D - Wide. The neoprene collar is intended to fit like a sock for a secure lockdown.
Rubber lines crucial areas of the sole unit which include the ball and the heel sections. This compound is crafted to be durable and enhance traction of the underside. There are also flex grooves that promote multi-directional movement and grip.
The Vionic Alma employs a full-length cushioning unit for shock attenuation. Inside the trainer is a removable insole made of ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) foam for enhanced underfoot comfort. This component is covered in mesh which helps wick moisture away from the foot.
The Vionic Alma sports a cleatie construction with a snug-fitting collar made of neoprene. The rest of the upper is a human-made textile that keeps the interior well-ventilated.
This trainer features a lacing system that can be used to tighten the fit at the midfoot if needed. Fabric loops are present on the tongue and the back of the collar so the trainer can be easily pulled on.
Another trainer to consider, if you’re into walking long distances regularly, is the New Balance 365. Not only does it employ a mesh upper, but it also has a generous CUSH+ midsole for shock absorption.
