Size and fit

The Vasque Breeze AT GTX is a mid-top day hiking boot crafted for men and women. It is built using the brand’s Arc Tempo+ last, which grants sufficient room in the toe area and medium width in the heel zone. It uses a conventional lacing system to help wearers attain a customized lockdown. The boot’s padded cuff and tongue work as one to render a comfortable fit around the ankle area.

This leather boot for hikers comes with a Vasque-exclusive Vibram Contact Grip outsole to keep users surefooted. It is made of a Megagrip rubber compound for durability and resistance to rough ground conditions. Its profile is filled with pod-like lugs in the center and an irregular tread pattern along the lateral area. This lug design supplies traction on virtually all types of terrain.

The sole’s forefoot and rearfoot zone contain several ridges to deliver extra control when going uphill or downhill. Its front section extends upward for added protection from accidental bumps.

The men’s and women’s Vasque Breeze AT GTX features an ATC midsole with EVA pods integrated into it. These components provide a cushioned ride while reducing impact from uneven terrain. A thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) shank is embedded into the midsole for underfoot protection and support.

A dual-density EVA footbed is positioned on top of the Breeze AT GTX’s midsole. Its bi-layer design gives arch support, extra cushioning, and comfort underfoot.

The Vasque Breeze AT GTX is equipped with a 2.0mm nubuck leather upper lined with a layer of Air Mesh fabric. These materials deliver sturdiness while creating a plush in-shoe environment. It also contains a Gore-Tex Extended Comfort membrane to prevent water intrusions. Moreover, the upper contains several perforations to optimize breathability inside the footgear.

This Vasque hiker sports a rubber cap in its toe box and a molded counter in the rearfoot region. The former grants trail protection while the latter provides heel support. Its closure system employs a series of eyelets and metal hooks to promote fit management.  A pair of pull loops are found on the tongue and collar to give wearers with easy on and off.
