Good to know

The Vans x Marvel SK8-Hi shoes are unisex shoes with men and women’s sizes. Its tall silhouette provides added ankle support while a traditional lace-up closure makes sure your feet are kept in place. Both Captain Marvel and Deadpool's shoelaces are flat while Black Panther's are round and waxed.

Now you can walk in your favorite superhero's shoes thanks to these three well-designed Vans SK8-His. Retaining the iconic silhouette of the SK8-Hi, the Vans x Marvel versions display a different appeal that portrays each hero's character efficiently. You can simply choose a model based on who your favorite character is, or you can also base it on its aesthetic.

The Deadpool pair exudes a dark red and black colorway with textures that can add a pop of stylish focal point to your ensemble, while the Black Panther version displays a more subtle and versatile colorway of tonal black with gold hardware accents and textures that could pair easier with most of your wardrobe. Last but not the least, the Captain Marvel kick provide more fun and elegant sportiness with its red and blue colorway with gold accents all over. No matter which one you choose, each design would add spunk to your outfit and oomph to your shoe collection.

Each of the superhero's SK8-Hi design has custom design elements that showcase a specific character's distinctive trait. For Black Panther's pair, its uppers are crafted from a combination of suede and mesh. Vans' side stripe logos are made of textured leather that resembles the Wakandan king's suit while its midsole features embossed tribal-inspired pattern as an ode to their ethnicity. Lastly, three gold hardware shaped as the Panther's claws grace the top eyelets.

As for Captain Marvel's sneakers, the shoe's colorway is an outright giveaway as it displays the hero's signature colors of red, blue, and gold. Carol's iconic Hala star is placed on the top eyelet and heel counter. The shoe's upper is made of a combination of canvas and suede materials, and metal eyelets are utilized for extra durability and design accent.

Lastly, Deadpool's kick is by far the most detailed out of the three. The shoe features the comical hero's dark red and black colors with the black having the same texture as Deadpool's super suit. Throughout the kick are what seemed to be scratches and abrasion marks to depict how the character gets badly beaten every time. The topmost eyelet displays a metal bullet cap with Marvel and Vans' branding. At the heel counter are Deadpool's katanas stylized in an X-shape, while shurikens are seen on the medial sides of the shoe. Behind the tongue are tacos or chimichangas – the character's favorite snack. Lastly, a gum-shaped print is placed on the outsoles, which aligns with Deadpool's sense of humor.

Two of the biggest culture titans today join forces once again to celebrate the legendary superheroes of the Marvel Universe. Following the last collection that they released in 2013, comic legends Marvel and skate shoe giants Vans partnered up again in 2018 with the biggest superhero collaboration by far. This epic collection includes a range of footwear, apparel, and accessories.

The silhouettes selected from Vans' sneaker lineup were the Old Skool, the Authentic, the Slip-On and the SK8-Hi. The SK8-Hi, in particular, comes in three superhero iterations: Deadpool, Black Panther, and Captain Marvel. Each design is crafted from different materials and clothed in each character's signature details and colors to portray a specific hero's character efficiently. These shoes are surely a fun way to express your love for the Marvel Universe.

  • All these designs of the Vans x Marvel SK8-Hi kicks have reinforced toecaps for added durability and protection.
  • Padded collars provide extra cushioning and comfort.
  • The shoebox comes designed in Marvel’s comic styling.
