Vans Tiger Patchwork Era: A classic silhouette upgraded with retro prints
Dubbed initially as #95, the Vans Era was introduced in 1975 as skateboarding footwear. It is made with canvas upper, reinforced with metal eyelets, supported with a cushioned collar, and aided with its signature waffle pattern outsole. This skate legend quickly gained its reputation as reliable footwear on the board for comfort, durability, flexibility, and traction.
In 2020, Vans introduced another reworked version of the Era. Included in the Tiger Patchwork collection, the Tiger Patchwork Era features details just in time for the warm months. The classic silhouette is updated with a striking patchwork design on the upper for a unique appeal. It displays DIY-esque style using patterns, such as paisley, gingham, and checkerboard.
More about the Tiger Patchwork collection
The Tiger Patchwork Collection also remastered other popular Vans silhouettes, such as the Vans Sk8-Hi and Vans Classic Slip-On. The brand used a traditional patchwork application to create distinctive geometric patterns and visual appeal to these classic models. Each print and colors are placed uniquely to make each iteration exceptional and one-of-a-kind.
