Size and fit

The ComfyCush version of the Vans Old Skool sneaker is available in men and women sizing. Like most lace-up sneakers, adjusting the laces can help in providing a more accommodating fit, especially for users with slightly wide feet.

Vans ComfyCush Old Skool Style

Using the familiar silhouette that Vans users have come to love, styling the ComfyCush Old Skool is not going to be very challenging. Men can wear it with any regular jeans paired with a comfortable shirt and varsity jacket. They can also wear it with denim shorts.

Women can use this low-top kick with a variety of outfits, including dresses, skirts, cropped pants, and shorts. It can also be worn with jeggings, a plain cropped top, and a printed cardigan.

Notable Features

Upon first glance, the Vans ComfyCush Old Skool does not have that much difference from the regular Old Skool kick. It comes with the same canvas upper with the signature side stripes. However, with the ComfyCush version, the magic happens internally.

This sneaker is engineered with a one-piece interior using an elastic band attached to the tongue. Aside from the usual insole, a ComfyCush insole is used for improved comfort. The shoe also comes with a co-molded midsole and outsole construction for excellent traction and flexibility.

Vans ComfyCush Old Skool History

Gone are the days when Vans sneakers are fitted with regular insoles. With the introduction of the ComfyCush line, the brand has given its shoes a new birth as the original silhouettes, such as the Authentic, Era, SK8-Hi, and Old Skool, were revamped with one-piece exteriors, foam midsoles, and added arch support.

Compared to the regular Old Skool model, the ComfyCush version now boasts a first-class fit and a cloud-like cushioning system.

Additional Info

  • The Vans ComfyCush Old Skool features the signature waffle tread pattern on its rubber outsole.
  • Some sections on the rubber outsole were removed for increased flexibility and reduced weight.
