Who should NOT buy it

This sneaker is perhaps not for you if you have wide feet, partake in extreme activities on a regular basis, or work in an environment that needs additional grip. You can instead check Vans Old Skool Platform. You can try the Vans Atwood which is a remarkably grippy skate sneaker that comes in several colorways.

Vans Classic Slip-on Stackform: Narrower than before

A considerable part of the reviews about the Vans Classic Slip-on Stackform home on its fit. A sneaker expert explained that the Stackform fits true to size for women while it fits small for men. Hence, it is recommended that men buy ½ size larger than their actual size.

Also, a number of reviews say that the Stackform is narrower than Vans' previous shoe releases. One sneakerhead has been wearing Vans shoes for 35 years and is always in US9. This is the first time he found them to be "so narrow." Another Vans fan also commented that these are "certainly more narrow than before."

Slip-on Stackform is the gift of comfort

Once the fit is correct, the Vans Classic Slip-on Stackform is a “super comfortable” platform sneaker that “doesn’t hurt or cause any blisters" as a skater has confirmed.

The Stackform is an instant DNA to get taller

Reviews about Stackform’s upgraded platform height abound. With its 34 mm or 1.5 inches platform height, one sneaker fan observed that the Stackform is “taller than the Vans Platforms.” Another user said that “when you don’t have the DNA to be tall, these help a ton,” and this kick is “classic looking with some modern perk of height and style.”

The classic favorite in chunkier look

The Classic Slip-On Stackform renovates Vans’ original, iconic slip-on silhouette with a much chunkier version on the platform aesthetic, although a handful of sneakerheads wish for more colorway options.  On how to style it, one buyer said that the sneakers “go with anything. Here are a few of what other sneaker fans say:

  • “They give a cute chunky look to the slip-ons.”
  • “Love, love, love that you've come out with a higher platform in the basic white.”
  • “These slip-on, tie-dyes, Stackforms are so much better than I expected; the pics don't do them justice!"

Also, this chunkier sneaker is not heavy unlike its Stacked predecessor based on the reviews.

Few bumps to note

Some shoe testers, however, grumble about the grip and durability of the Classic Slip-On Stackform. One user shared having the shoes "for just shy a month" and said that the rubber sole has almost completely been removed from the fabric. Another user who had the shoes for less than four months claimed that "there's already a hole ripped in the toe." Regarding its grip, one tester said that the Stackform doesn't have the additional grip which makes the bottom sole to be "fully flushed with the floor."
