6 reasons to buy

  • A high number of golfers, especially those who prefer to walk, claim that this shoe is comfortable.
  • Some of the buyers confess that the looks are a huge deciding factor in buying this golf trainer.
  • The traction that it provides is exceptional, says a significant amount of users.
  • A few commenters observe how lightweight the Under Armour Spieth 3 is.
  • The improved cleat design allows golfers to hold their stance better.
  • A small number of individuals mention that this Under Armour shoe delivers plenty of support.

3 reasons not to buy

  • Several reviewers complain that despite its waterproof advertisement, this trainer lets the water soak through.
  • Quite many comments state that the spikes of the shoe tend to fall off and get clogged with grass.
  • The tongue also is a fail for some athletes. It slides and tends to gravitate on the side, which can be bothersome.

Bottom line

The UA Spieth 3 creates a divide among golfers. It all stems to expecting a lot because it carries the name of the second youngest golfer (next to Woods) who won the Masters.

While it creates an impact on golfers in terms of comfort, traction, and support, it fails in certain areas. The durability of the spikes and the shoe’s lack of water protection are some of the significant concerns that they have encountered.

Just like the career of American professional golfer Jordan Spieth, the UA Spieth series shows no signs of stopping. Every element reflects how well-thought-out this shoe is. But, a significant rework done for this iteration is the outsole, which, according to the brand, is everything.

One of the most notable upgrades seen on this latest version is the outsole. With the continuous search of the most effective material to use, Under Armour collaborated with biomechanics expert JJ Rivets. His research about golf movements led to the use of the low-profile Rotational Resistance (RST 2.0) & Softspike Silver Tornado spikes on the Spieth 3.

The mix of spikes and textured plate prevents rotational slippage as the foot spins during a swing. It is also designed to offer horizontal traction for long-distance walking. It also manages to keep the entire foot close to the ground, which translates to heightened stability.

Found in the middle of the shoe is a strategically-placed cushioning system. It provides support from the ground up to assure that comfort is provided throughout the swing.

The exterior of the shoe is coated with Clarino microfiber. It is a synthetic material that is manufactured by Kuraray Co., Ltd. of Japan. It is a breathable and lightweight material that keeps the feet dry. Moreover, it is washable and has the ability to maintain softness despite contact with water.

The smart-woven design on the side panel and heel counter is not just for show. It is biomechanically crafted to deliver lightweight comfort and correct foot support.

The upper of the shoe is also clad with an integrated lacing system. It ensures that the foot is secured and locked into place, vital especially when making a foot rotation during a swing.

Jordan Spieth may be a megastar on the course. But, the way he dresses is extremely simple to keep the audience's focus on his game.

The Under Armour Spieth 3 aligns with the golfer's fashion. The overall look of the shoe is clean and straightforward. But, it creates an impact in a very understated way.

There is much more to the shoe by looking at its details. The diagonal jacquard on the side creates texture and breaks the monotony of the panel.

Two colorways are available for this model: white and black. Both of which are clad with a slightly large UA logo on the side.

  • This item offers a 2-year waterproof warranty.
  • This model is the lightest Spieth 3 golf shoe to date.
