Size and fit

Aside from being easy to get on and off, these slip-on hiking shoes feature a roomy toe box to accommodate wearers with wide feet. The leather uppers conform to the feet and the elastic gussets help to provide a good fit.

This shoe has a rubber lug outsole for enhanced traction and durability. The circular lugs on the forefoot and heel sections allow the shoe to bite into rough and uneven surfaces while the grooves throughout the sides in the middle help prevent slipping.

The Timberland Mt. Maddsen Slip-On men's shoes have EVA midsoles for cushioning. EVA is a special type of foam known for its lightness, flexibility, and high bounce rate. What makes it different from other hiking shoes that also use EVA is the addition of a geometric cone support structure.

They also come with removable anti-fatigue footbeds. Like the midsole, it also has an inverted cone design for lightweight support and a contoured shape for extra comfort.

Meant to survive challenging trail conditions, this hiker features a full-leather upper. Timberland uses top-quality leather from a tannery rated Silver for sustainability. In addition, the fabric lining used for the shoe interior is made of 40% recycled plastic. There are pull loops in the tongue and at the back for ease of wearing or taking off.

Nice to know

-To preserve the beauty and prolong the life of the leather, Timberland advises regularly applying a wax protector on the upper, along with a water repellent agent.
