Good to know
- The Timberland Jacquard Euro Hiker thins the divide between an urban footgear and a functional hiking boot. It is built lightweight and flexible, thanks in no small part to its synthetic upper, to give its wearers enhanced agility, may they be out in the wild or in the city streets.
- Its sole unit is engineered with a Timberland-exclusive technology, called SensorFlex. As its name suggests, this technology renders both the midsole and the outsole extra flexible without compromising their key purposes.
A fairly true-to-size, mid-cut day hiking boot for men is the Timberland Jacquard Euro Hiker. It comes in regular width in half and full sizes. Its front closure provides a quick approach to personalizing the overall fit.
The Jacquard Euro Hiker owes its ability to provide surface traction to its SensorFlex outsole. It has tire-like grooves and low-profile protrusions (a.k.a lugs) that give it extra grip over tricky terrain. Its front end extends to the upper, giving this outdoor shoe decent protection against bumps and knocks.
Thanks to its sturdy yet flexible midsole, this Timberland footgear is capable of stabilizing the wearer’s footing on the trail with as much underfoot comfort as possible. Its considerable thickness provides adequate shock absorption on ground impact.
An Ortholite insole made of a breathable material sits right on top of this cushy layer. It is engineered to provide additional cushioning and support. It is also built with antimicrobial and moisture-wicking capabilities.
The Timberland Euro Hiker’s stripy, over-the-ankle upper is made of 100% polyester jacquard. Its collar and tongue are adequately padded for enhanced in-shoe comfort. Around its base is a synthetic rand for abrasion protection and added durability.
Metallic eyelets and a synthetic lace comprise the gear’s lace-up closure. The white colorway of this boot uses a lace that is made of 50% recycled plastic bottles. The black colorway, on the other hand, has rustproof eyelets.
