User reviews:

-This boot has an upper made of premium leather that offers a high level of protection against the elements.

The Timberland Field Trekker WP is a mid-cut hiker for men. The leather upper conforms to the shape of the foot while the traditional lace-up closure ensures a snug fit. There are additional hooks on top so you can adjust the fit around the ankle whenever needed.

Meant for easy to moderate terrain, the Field Trekker WP features the GripStick outsole that is engineered to provide superior traction on wet or dry surfaces. It’s made of a sticky rubber compound that is resistant to abrasion and is highly durable. It also features flex grooves for slip resistance.

This brand-exclusive outsole is non-marking which means you can take it to a quick trip to the gym or an errand to the bank without leaving a trace.

Most Timberland hiking shoes have midsoles made of EVA. This synthetic foam has several qualities that contribute to the comfort and support of any hiking footwear. Basically, they are flexible, soft yet durable, and most of all - lightweight.

The Field Trekker WP also features underfoot support known as the SensorFlex Comfort System. This company-exclusive technology works in three ways. First, there’s a firm upper layer that offers stability and support so you don’t lose your balance. Second, a suspension system creates sufficient cushioning and shock absorption. Third, there is a flexible outsole that promotes responsiveness on any surface.

Furthermore, this boot is equipped with an Ortholite footbed that has many benefits other than providing additional cushion. One is it helps move moisture from the foot, giving it a drier and cooler environment.

The Field Trekker WP is available in two variations - Nubuck leather and Full-grain leather. The upper is made entirely of leather materials that are carefully stitched together. A rubber rand surrounds the toe area of the shoe for extra protection against sharp hazards on the trail.

Inside the boot is a waterproof lining known as the TimberDry which is made with 50% recycled plastic bottles. In addition, 200-gram Primaloft insulation is added to provide warmth and comfort to the feet when day hiking in the winter.
