Bottom line

If there is one thing the Teva Omnium 2 Leather has oozing amounts of, it would have to be comfort. That said, as noteworthy of a product this closed-toe hiker is on that front, its greatness in the design, lengthwise fit, and arch support categories also deserves recognition. It is just unfortunate, however, that the shoe’s successes are adulterated with its alleged weighty construction. To sum up, past its forgivable criticism, the Teva men's Omnium Leather sandal is a footgear that has what it takes to give its wearers a remarkable performance on their day-long trail adventures.

Good to know

  • The Omnium 2 Leather by Teva allows hikers to experience the trail with a combination of security, support, and protection. It inherits the closed-toe design of its predecessor—the first Omnium Leather. Also returning in this version is the Microban anti-microbial technology which once again gives the sandal adequate stink protection.
  • Just like its older brother, the Omnium 2 Leather gets to cushion the foot against pointy rocks and bulging roots with its single-piece midsole. That said, this iteration now comes with a supportive subcomponent called shank, something the first edition didn’t have.

Teva’s Omnium 2 Leather is a generally true-to-size multi-sport sandal for men. It comes in D – standard width in half and full sizes. The shoe’s fit may be personalized using its adjustable speed lace and hook-and-loop closure.

With the Teva Omnium 2 Leather’s Spider Original rubber outsole, lovers of the trail get to negotiate tricky terrain with sufficient traction. It provides extra clawing power and grip over loose soil thanks to its low-profile lugs.

Cushioning and stability underfoot come by means of the sandal’s lightweight midsole made of ethylene-vinyl acetate. Teva engineers embedded it with a nylon shank to give wearers a firmer balance and extra arch support. It comes with a built-in (non-removable) footbed for additional comfort.

The strappy upper of this closed-toe sandal is made with a combination of leather and mesh. Its key parts are engineered with elastic gore for on-and-off convenience. Its closure system is made up of adjustable, hook-and-loop straps and a stretchy cord (speed lace). The strap securing the ankle comes with a locking buckle made of hard plastic.
