Supra Chino History

American skate shoe brand Supra was established in 2006 by Angel Cabada in partnership with five other pro skaters namely Jim Greco, Tom Penny, Erik Ellington, Chad Muska, and Dennis Martin. Before founding Supra, Cabada also co-founded another skate company called KR3W, but this time it sells skate clothing.

Aside from their shoes' excellent quality and functionality, Supra catapulted to fame for its flamboyant designs and use of vibrant colors. In a sea of classic and minimal skate shoes, Supra stood out and caught the attention of non-skaters alike. Musicians were mainly seen rocking a pair of Supra shoes and helped the brand reach a wider audience. Jay-Z, Justin Bieber, Travis McCoy, Lil Wayne, and Justin Timberlake are some of the celebrities who donned Supra sneakers out and about.

One of the brand's many models is the Supra Chino. Introduced in 2016, the low-top sneaker preserves the classic skate look through a simple upper and thin sole. This all-around sneaker is said to borrow elements from its predecessors and enhanced them for better performance. For time-tested traction and performance, its sole utilized a repurposed version of the Stacks II's vulcanized sole. Its upper, on the other hand, incorporates the Supra Pistol's clean design.

This sneaker debuted in signature colorways by three of the team riders. Dee Ostrander, Boo Johnson, and Oscar Candon each had a Supra Chino colorway named after them. Check these following colorways: blue/white, grey, black/white/gum, brown/white, mojave/white, tan/gum, dark ruby, black/black, navy, black/gum/white, and golden/white.

Additional Info

  • The shoe’s insoles are removable.
  • Lightly padded collar and tongue provide added cushioning and comfort.
  • Some colorways feature an added rubber ollie guard. These colorways include black/gum /white, black/black, dark ruby, and grey.
