Size and fit

The Sperry Men’s Striper II LTT Suede is available in sizes ranging from 4 to 16, all in medium width. With its low-top structure, the shoe allows the ankles to have a wider range of motion. Besides that, the suede upper is fastened up with a lace-to-toe (LTT) closure for a snug fit that reaches the toe area.

Sperry Striper II LTT Suede Style

Its silhouette exhibits an easygoing vibe that goes along well with simple casual outfits such as chinos, denims, and shirts. But one can dress up a bit as well, for the suede upper offers a smarter, dapper look. Try these on with the long-sleeved polo and jeans and the sort. Furthermore, the shoe is available in three good-looking colorways to match your style or mood—namely, Carmel, Gray, and Navy.

Notable Features

The Sperry Striper II LTT Suede primarily features a soft and supple suede upper that takes on neutral hues, with six pairs of tonal eyelets running alongside the tongue. Through vulcanization, the suede upper is bonded to durable rubber outsole, which is equipped with the brand’s patented Wave-Siping tread that gives it a solid grip on both wet and dry surface.

Sperry Striper II LTT Suede History

In the 1930s, Paul Sperry had the misfortune of slipping off the deck of his boat and almost drowning in the sea. But, as it turned out, he had an even bigger fortune. That incident led the young Sperry to create the world’s first boat shoe, the Canvas Circular Vamp Oxford (CVO). What made that shoe unique was that its vulcanized rubber outsole mimicked the grooves of his dog’s paws. The process is called Razor-Cut Wave-Siping, which prevented a countless number of sailors from slipping off wet decks.

Over the years, Sperry shoes are more worn inland than out at sea, appearing more and more in the streets, colleges, cafes, parks, and beaches. The brand has broken into the mainstream and prep culture and became one of the admired lifestyle brands. One of the classic silhouettes Sperry introduced is the Striper. Today, the Sperry Striper II LTT Suede, one of the line’s newest iterations, continues the brand’s legacy.
