Good to know

  • The Summits - Quick Getaway is an addition to the Skechers’ well-received Summits line. Like the original Skechers Summits, It serves as an all-around athletic shoe that can be used for workouts, athleisure, and daily wear.
  • The trainer retains the slip-on design of the original model for effortless on-and-off wear. It also makes use of the same bungee-laced support on the instep to free the wearer from the need of lacing up the footwear.
  • The main alteration can be seen in the upper unit. It now uses a jersey material in place of the knit-mesh fabric for a softer and more sock-like foot coverage. A heathered finish also adds style to the footwear.

This Skechers trainer was created specifically for ladies. Buyers can choose from the range of US sizes between 5 and 11, including half sizes. All models of the shoe are available in a standard B - Medium width, while some color options also come in a D - Wide profile.

The outsole and the midsole of the Skechers Summits - Quick Getaway are part of a single EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) foam unit. This construction helps in reducing the weight of the footwear while making the platform more flexible.

The bottom sports a combination of deep horizontal and vertical flex grooves. They ensure that the sole bends in multiple directions to accommodate various movements of the wearer.

The outsole unit also has a textured nature. It helps in delivering traction on smooth surfaces.

The foot receives its cushioning and impact protection from the EVA foam unit. It is a lightweight, full-length compound which creates padding for each section of the foot.

The shoe employs a Memory Foam insert on top of the midsole. It contributes to the cushioning, helping it last longer. The insole also molds to the underside of the wearer’s foot for extra comfort.

The Skechers Summits - Quick Getaway makes use of a jersey knit-mesh fabric to create a soft and smooth foothold. It is made to be nearly seamless to reduce the chance of irritation and chafing. A padded instep panel is placed instead of the tongue to prevent the laces from digging into the foot.

The trainer utilizes a slip-on construction to simplify the process of putting on and removing it. The tight bungee laces on the instep help in keeping the fit snug in the midfoot area. However, they can stretch easily when the footwear is put on or taken off.

The front and heel portions of the collar protrude up making sure that the shoe stays safely on the wearer. The sides of the collar sit below the ankle to afford freedom of multi-directional movement.
