Updates to Skechers GOrun Pure

  • The midsole is equipped with the ULTRA GO technology which is lightweight and responsive. It doesn’t weigh the foot down. Also, it adequately provides the right amount of cushioning and energy response, delivering a ride that doesn’t feel dull.
  • On the forefoot, flex grooves were added to make the heel-to-toe transition smoother. Runners can run without feeling limited or restricted due to a rigid outsole. In combination with this feature, Skechers incorporated a midfoot strike zone, not only helping with flexibility but also, promoting efficiency with every stride.

Size and fit

The Skechers GOrun Pure was manufactured using standard shoe measurements. Runners will be able to get a pair in their usual running shoe sizes. They can make use of their usual size preferences. As for the width, runners only have a choice of medium width measurements – B- medium and D-medium for women and men, respectively.

The bottom of the Skechers GOrun Pure is a lightweight yet durable rubber that delivers enough protection underfoot. The rubber also supplies the runner with adequate traction to prevent slipping on common surfaces like wood, tile, or asphalt.

The outsole has a parametric web design. This pattern is made up of several flex grooves, as well as the outsole rubber which was strategically placed on key areas. This makes the bottom of the Skechers GOrun Pure flexible when moving and adaptable to different surfaces in when it comes to providing traction.

A midfoot striking zone was also added to the outsole. With this component, runners are encouraged to land on their midfoot, making each stride more efficient.

The midsole is made up of a material called ULTRA GO. It’s Skechers proprietary midsole technology that supplies enough cushioning underfoot. Despite this, the midsole is lightweight. It doesn’t weigh the runner’s foot down. Also, it attenuates shock accordingly and supplies the runner with the right amount of rebound for an energetic ride.

The upper of the Skechers GOrun Pure is made up of a virtually seamless engineered mesh fabric. It supplies enough ventilation to make the inside environment of the shoe cool at all times. The fabric also has elastic characteristics, making it adaptable to different foot shapes, as well as comfortable.

There are a few overlays on this part of the shoe. The trademark S is located on the side of the shoe. It lightly increases the durability of the area where it is on, but mainly it serves more of an aesthetic purpose. On the heel panel, a synthetic hot-melt overlay was added for stability. However, the immobilization the synthetic heel overlay gives is minimal.

The lacing on this Skechers running shoe is traditional. Tightening up the laces will also tighten the fit on the midfoot, preventing the accidental slipping off of the shoe while the runner is in motion.

The detailing on this part of the shoe is reflective. Some components of the upper seem to light up during low-light conditions. Runners don’t have to worry about not being seen while running during night time.
