Good to know

  • Skechers may be known for delivering comfortable walking and running shoes, but the company also offers cross-trainers, such as the Flex Appeal 2.0 – Simplistic, that can keep up with high-intensity workouts.
  • This version uses the same sole technology as the Flex Appeal 2.0. It features a dual-density midsole called Dual-Lite that absorbs shock and, at the same time, delivers stability.
  • The outsole is the exposed FlexSole 2.0 midsole. The material is lightweight, flexible and provides excellent shock absorption.
  • This model uses different materials for the upper. Instead of the jersey knit, it has a mesh fabric reinforced with trubuck leather overlays to support the foot during intense workouts. The lace-up closure has been updated and now features strong, thin cables coming out of the eyelets.

The Skechers Flex Appeal 2.0 - Simplistic is only available in women’s sizes and is true to size. It accommodates narrow and broad feet because it comes in B - Medium and D - Wide width options. The synthetic overlays prevent the mesh material from stretching.

The Flex Appeal 2.0 - Simplistic uses the FlexSole 2.0 midsole as its outsole. This material is lightweight, durable, flexible, and shock-absorbent. It partially extends to the front of the shoe and serves as a protection from impact and abrasion.

Flex grooves line the underside of this workout shoe, and they encourage foot flexion and multidirectional movements.

It has rubber pods on the medial side of the toe area and the lateral side of the heel. The compound is high-wearing and adds traction to the outsole.

The Flex Appeal 2.0 - Simplistic uses an Air Cooled Memory Foam insole. This foam instantly conforms to the contours of the foot’s sole. Unlike other memory foam technologies, this version is breathable to keep the inside of the shoe fresh.

The Dual-Lite midsole is a lightweight, dual-density type of cushioning unit. The soft section absorbs the force of impact to prevent injuries to the lower extremities, while the firm part delivers stability during intense training.

The FlexSole 2.0 is another layer of shock-absorbing foam. It is also lightweight, flexible and durable as it doubles as an outsole.

The Skechers Flex Appeal 2.0 - Simplistic utilizes mesh for the upper. This fabric is breathable, allowing heat to dissipate and keep the inside of the shoe well-ventilated.

Trubuck overlays in the midfoot area not only protect the mesh from abrasion but also enhance the lateral support offered by the shoe.

A traditional lacing system keeps the foot inside the trainer. Thin cables integrate with the eyelets. Tightening of the flat laces applies tension to the strings which to provide optimum support on the sides of the foot.

The plush tongue serves as a barrier between the instep and the laces, keeping the top of the foot comfortable even when the laces are tightly tied.

The padded collar supports the ankle and prevents chafing. It also ensures that the back of the foot will not slip out while on the move.

Synthetic overlays are found on the toe-box to guard against abrasion. There’s also one on the back that serves as an external counter to prevent accidental shoe removal.

Lining the inside is a soft fabric that aims to deliver an agreeable in-shoe feel. It allows the foot to glide smoothly when the shoe is being put on or taken off.
