Outsole

Adequate power transfer. The Zero Gore's outsole utilizes the brand's Millenium 5 sole design. It is crafted from injected carbon fiber in a nylon matrix, which yields enough stiffness for efficient pedaling and enhances durability.

Grip. Polyurethane heel pads are provided in the heel and toe areas to offer stability in smooth and slippery surfaces. Moreover, the heel pad is replaceable, so when the traction starts to feel dull, the user can replace it with a new one. This exchangeable feature also helps lengthen the shoe's lifespan.

Cleat System

The Sidi Zero Gore employs the traditional three-bolt road cleat system. Some of the pedals you can use with this shoe are Time Xpro 15, Look Keo Classic 3, and Ritchey WCS Carbon Echelon.

Markings are provided in the cleat area to serve as a guide in precise cleat placements.

Upper

Durability. This shoe's upper is crafted from Sidi's Microfiber Microtech material. It is made using the "Water-Tech" water treatment to lessen environmental impact. This microfiber upper is designed to yield lightness, water-repellency, and resistance against chafing, scratches, and things of this nature.

Comfort, warmth, and waterproofing. The Zero Gore is lined with a Gore-Tex membrane, which is designed to offer insulation and waterproofing to keep the foot comfortable despite the freezing temperature outside. It is also intended to let perspiration escape when it's drier out.

An internal gusset also protects the foot from the cold and keep elements at bay.

Lockdown. The retention system used is Sidi' Techno-3 system dial accompanied by a micro-velcro strap in the forefoot area. The Techno-3 dial can be adjusted both ways in increments and instantly release by pulling the lever. The dial is also replaceable.

Working in conjunction with the closure system is the heel cup. The reinforced heel keeps the foot in an ideal position while pedaling and remains the shoe in pristine shape despite extreme performance or applied pressure on the shoe.
