Size and fit

The Scarpa Mojito Hike GTX is a day hiking boot for men and women. It is offered in whole and half sizes and comes in standard width only. This footgear fairly runs true to size. Its speed lacing system grants a personalized fit.

This Scarpa boot employs a Vibram outsole for traction. Its surface is filled with pronounced lugs which bite into most kinds of terrain. These lugs are also self-cleaning to optimize grip. The outsole incorporates a braking area which helps during a descent.

The Scarpa Mojito Hike GTX’s Salix Trek sole consists of a medium-density EVA midsole and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) frame. The former provides cushioning while the latter grants rigidity to the unit. Moreover, the boot’s Comfort Flex Plus insole delivers a kind of underfoot performance that works in three seasons.

The brand’s patented ACTIV Impact technology is applied to this hiker. It aids in reducing impact from the ground and improves the boot’s responsiveness.

The Mojito Hike GTX features a 1.8mm water-resistant suede leather upper, making it tough against abrasive elements. The Gore-Tex Performance Comfort membrane lines the upper for waterproofing and breathability. This gear is also equipped with Heel Tension technology for improved lateral stability.

The upper’s Flex Point  allows natural ankle mobility while still being supportive. Its speed lacing system, consisting of a series of eyelets and metal hooks, grants a customized lockdown to the wearer.

Memory foam is found in the upper’s ankle area. It follows the anatomy of the wearer and returns to its original shape after each use to prevent discomforts caused by pressure.
