The Kalipe from Scarpa is a men’s and women’s approach shoe. The product engineers use eight pairs of eyelets so wearers will be able to maximize the shoe’s fit adjustability.
Scarpa’s Kalipe features the Exagon Grip outsole. It is made of Vibram’s Megagrip compound that offers a maximum level of stickiness of both wet and dry terrain. The roughened aggressive lugs placed at the perimeter yield stability while the central studs render multidirectional traction. A climbing zone at the toe helps wearers during ascents. Moreover, mini circular indentations are visible on the space between each lug to prevent the accumulation of mud and dirt.
The Kalipe from Scarpa employs a medium-density ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) midsole. It is formulated to offer a decent amount of underfoot stability and comfort. It has a tapered configuration (from the rearfoot to the forefoot) to provide an extra amount of shock absorption in the heel area.
This approach shoe from Scarpa wears a water-repellent suede upper. It has a microfiber lining that maximizes comfort. This leather material is reinforced with a rubber in the toe and heel areas to heighten its protection against accidental knocks. Its closure system extends to the toes for optimal fit management. Lastly, with a pull loop attached at the back of the shoe, users are granted with easy on and off.
