  • The Scarpa Force V is built with optimum performance in mind. It comes back carrying some minor improvements. The brand engineers designed the updated version with a rounder toe box to be able to accommodate a wider range of foot shapes and sizes. The tabs at the back of the shoe now come in dual colors, enhancing aesthetics.
  • Making a comeback are the Flexan midsole and Vibram XS Edge outsole. The former promotes flexibility, while the latter provides a more rock-adherent ride.
  • This all-around shoe carries the brand-owned V-Tension active randing system. It helps maintain the shape of the shoe throughout its usable life. It focuses the power on the big toe without compromising support on the arch and forefoot.

Downturn. This Scarpa rock shoe is engineered with a neutral and slightly asymmetric profile. This compact construction renders an ideal balance of all-day comfort and performance.

Applications. This Scarpa rock shoe is built for trad climbing. It may be used to send multi-pitch problems, whether indoors or outdoors.

The Force V from Scarpa caters to male and female climbers. The brand indicates that their non-plastic offerings are based on European sizing which provides a more precise fit. For comparison, one Euro whole size is equal to 6.6 mm, while one US size corresponds to 8.4 mm. Additionally, the dual Velcro straps allow owners to customize the overall fit and volume of the shoe.

Scarpa men’s Force V is shaped using the FF last, providing a neutral, slightly asymmetric and low-angled toe box build. The women’s version, on the other hand, uses the ED last which yields a lower volume

Midsole. These Scarpa rock climbing shoes carry a 1 mm Flexan midsole. This material helps spread the force across the foot for better performance. It also provides a decent amount of flexibility.

Outsole. Scarpa Force V (men’s and women’s) comes with a 4 mm Vibram XS Edge outsole. This compound is formulated to yield optimal grip on almost all types of rock surfaces. It is made resistant to plastic distortion, so owners will be able to log more vertical miles.

The upper of this Scarpa rock shoe wears a durable 1.8 mm suede leather. A padded air mesh tongue heightens comfort by promoting breathability. It also has a padding-lined heel zone that yields a cozy feel.

It has double the adjustable straps for fit management. Both of these straps come with Velcro fasteners. Lastly, the product engineers added two pull tabs at the back of the shoe for easy on and off.
