Facts

Use -  As highlighted by the name, the Saucony Uplift HJ is tailored for high jumping tournaments. It offers the right amount of lockdown, support, and traction of unparalleled jumping performance.

Spike Type - Christmas Tree pins are attached to the spike wells of the track shoe. There are seven spikes located at the forefoot, and four on the heel. These spike pins are responsible for providing traction, enabling an explosive performance.

Spike Plate - An eleven-pin Pebax® plate is equipped to the jumping shoe. The same outsole component is present in Nike Zoom 400. It maintains a good rigidity-to-weight ratio—integral for momentum build-up.

For a robust leaping performance, the Saucony Uplift HJ flaunts high-grade technologies. One of these is the incorporation of the XT-600 rubber. This outsole element enhances grip for a good take-off.

To better traction, even more, a Pebax® plate is also equipped to the outsole. It also presents high-strength qualities for the high jump shoe to withstand abrasion.

FlexFilm overlays are also implemented on the upper for increased support. These keep the foot in place for security.

The Saucony Uplift HJ 2 only runs in men’s sizing scale and is designed using the standard width. Thus, women are advised to deduct 1.5 from their usual size. This is to secure an accurate fit and size.

The components of the track jumping shoe affecting its fit are the mesh upper, FlexFilm overlays, and the multi-directional cross strap. The mesh upper offers a tight yet comfortable wrap around the contours of the foot. The FlexFilm overlays supply a supportive fit. Lastly, the cross strap locks the foot down in place, preventing premature shoe removal.

Similar to the Nike Zoom Rival S 9, the Uplift HJ features a Pebax® plate. It has an eleven-pin layout—seven on the forefoot and four on the heel. This configuration promotes excellent and versatile traction on the track surface. The plate also serves as an underfoot cushioning, providing plush comfort. It also protects the foot from trauma.

The plate is complemented by the XT-600 rubber which heightens grip and durability. It is made of carbon rubber which has good abrasion resistance and grip.

Aiming to trim down weight, the track shoe has a die-cut EVA midsole. This technical element delivers resilience and in-shoe plushness. Its composition also solicits durability, permitting wear and tear prevention. It also heightens the support within the foot chamber, enabling support for surefootedness.

The upper of the Saucony Uplift HJ is wrapped with a breathable mesh. This upper material wraps snugly around the foot, securing foot lockdown. It also maintains minimal weight for less bulk, conserving the athlete’s energy. Moreover, it offers an irritation-free jumping performance, amplifying comfort.

Targeting torsional rigidity, FlexFilm overlays are welded to the upper. These are composed of thin films, offering ultra-light support.

For superior lockdown, a multi-directional cross strap is added on the upper engineering. This permits convenient and adjustable closure.
