Bottom line

The Saucony Grid Azura 2000 features an aggressive appearance while remaining faithful to its retro runner silhouette. Do not sleep on this because this lowkey Saucony runner will let you breeze your way through the streets. Look past through its transparent toe box and side panels and let your socks show its charm.

Reviving the forgotten Grid Azura 2000

The Grid Azura 2000 was left to collect dust on the shelves until Bodega, a retailer, helped pull the silhouette out from the archives. Moving to a new millennium, the no-longer-a-secret sneaker features a bold shape that will shake the streets. With its toothy overlays and see-through, mono mesh windows on the toe box and side panels, you can enjoy taking a walk on hot summer days.

Grid Azura 2000's color blocking

Some colorways of the Azura 2000 have their unique characteristics. For instance, the white/blue/lime model is a vegan sneaker, which means that there are no animals harmed in the making of the shoe.

The white/black/neon silhouette is by the early morning walk home after a long night out in Tokyo, and the influence of vintage Bozozoku street culture. The combination of the colors shows dimmed Neo Tokyo lights that intertwine with the dawn mist of a waking city.

Bodega created a unique iteration of the Grid Azura 2000, too. The Ever Ready colorway features a radical color blocking on the upper, a black speckled midsole, and a multicolored outsole.
