Salomon Supercross Blast:

Supercross Blast is a fresh replacement of the Supercross. It is the middle ground between the beginner-friendly Alphacross and the more advanced Wildcross or Speedcross trail shoes from Salomon.

The shoe is designed for moderate terrain and occasional use (1-3 times a week). It is also available in a GTX (waterproof) version.

Supercross Blast vs. Alphacross Blast

Supercross offers a few benefits that justify the extra $20 added to its price over the Alphacross:

  • More secure fit: the SensiFit design helps to lock the midfoot in place from the midsole to the lace closure
  • Quick and easy fit regulation: the Quicklace toggles allow to regulate tightness in just one pull

Other highlights of the Supercross

Here are some of the features that the shoe shares with its Cross counterparts:

  • Multi-directional 5-mm lugs for effective grip on soft ground
  • EnergyCell cushioning absorbs shock from each step
  • Ortholite sockliner adds underfoot padding
  • Durable ripstop upper fabric
  • Generous fit implies a roomier toebox compared to most Salomon trail shoes
