Who should buy the Salewa Wildfire GTX
The revamped Wildfire GTX from Salewa offers enhanced performance through its updated features. It is a solid option if you:
- Prefer a shoe that has a sole made with a unique compound and a lug pattern that gives optimal rock and ground adherence.
- Prefer a shoe that provides all-day comfort and helps reduce fatigue.
- Prefer a shoe that is breathable and has a waterproof adventure.
Enhanced traction
Salewa men’s and women’s Wildfire GTX employ a Pomoca Speed Mtn outsole. This material is known for its stickiness, whether it is on wet or dry granite. The climbing zone at the toe renders edging performance. The pronounced lugs offer enhanced traction, especially over soft surfaces.
Excellent ventilation
A breathable Ortholite footbed sits atop the Wildfire GTX’s EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) midsole. Thanks to its open-cell PU structure, it is able to provide breathability and manage moisture. The air is permitted to circulate in and around the foam, keeping a cool environment.
Maintains a dry yet comfy feel
With its moisture management system, it is able to move away sweat from the foot, maintaining a dry yet comfy feel. Ortholite foams are lightweight and are eco-friendly too.
Enhanced protection and abrasion resistance
This Salewa approach shoe has a predominantly mesh upper that renders lightweight comfort. The brand’s designers added the EXA Shell technology injected cage. It is a plastic grip placed on the top of the mesh for enhanced protection and abrasion resistance. This feature also helps maintain the shoe’s flexibility. The rubber in the toe area adds protection against bumps and knocks.
Comfortable in both indoor and outdoor environments
The shoe comes with a Gore-Tex Extended Comfort laminate. It is designed to provide an optimal level of breathability, especially during active use. It also aims to promote comfort in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Easy to put on and off
With the brand’s very own 3F System, the instep is connected to the sole and heel, maximizing support and flexibility. Additionally, the Climbing Lacing system allows the management of fit. A loop at the back of the shoe allows easy on and off.
