-A lightweight shoe meant for the rugged terrain, the Salewa Dropline GTX men's and women's shoes have an air mesh construction with Gore-Tex waterproof membrane.

-The rounded Pomoca outsole boasts of good traction on both dry and wet surfaces. It also has an S-Path design that promotes the natural roll-of and heel-to-toe transition.

-This shoe also comes with an Ortholite footbed for more comfort and support, a stretch gaiter for added protection against rain or water, and an anti-rock heel cup for more stability on the trail.

The Dropline GTX is a lightweight hiker from Salewa. It has a mesh upper that stretches nicely for a glove-like fit. The protective plastic grid on top of the mesh remains flexible so the wearer can hike with speed and agility. Meanwhile, the supportive 3F system securely wraps the foot and keeps it stable, which is important for a blister-free hike. Lastly, this shoe features a web lacing system for surefooted steps even on the roughest terrain.

An ideal shoe for rapid ascents and descents, the Salewa Dropline GTX features a sticky rubber outsole with different lug shapes and sizes. Along the edge of the sole are triangular lugs that grip well into rocks and edges when scrambling while the five-sided lugs in the middle ensure grip and traction on uneven ground.

Like most other lightweight shoes, the Dropline GTX hiker also makes use of a high-performance EVA midsole for cushioning. Aside from its lightness, EVA has a high bounce rate and shock absorption, allowing for a softer landing and minimized impact on the knees, muscles, and joints. For added comfort, this shoe comes with an Ortholite footbed that offers cushioning and breathability.

The shoe upper features a lightweight air mesh with an EXA shell comprised of plastic grids. It keeps the structure of the shoe upright while still remaining flexible. Inside the shoe is a Gore-tex waterproof membrane for protection against rain or water. But because it's a low-cut shoe, water can enter through the collar and the tongue. Luckily, this shoe comes with a stretch gaiter.

To protect the foot against the trail hazards, this shoe is built with a rubber toe cap and an anti-rock heel cup. Lastly, a traditional lace-up closure keeps the foot in place, no matter the movement.
