Updates to Reebok Zigwild Trail 6.0

  • The Zigwild Trail 6.0 from Reebok sports a brand-new look. Its upper has been redesigned to feature lockdown elements that keep the foot secure, regardless of motions.
  • Following the principle of, "if there's nothing wrong, why fix it," the remainder of the running shoe's composition is patterned after its predecessor. A staple to the series, a ZigTech outsole is still observed in the Zigwild Trail 6.0's composition.

Size and fit

The Reebok Zigwild Trail 6.0's sizing follows the standard schemes for both men and women. With such construction, buyers can order a pair using their usual size choice.

One of the technical elements that affect the shoe's fit is its mesh upper. This is coupled with overlays that act as the external cage of the platform. These enhance support and lockdown, disabling unwanted shoe removal. Moreover, a traditional lace-up closure is responsible for delivering the customizable wrap of the running shoe.

Outsole

As suggested by the name, the Zigwild Trail 6.0 is equipped with the famous ZigTech outsole. It is comprised of a foam sole that exhibits zigzag patterns. With its engineering, the outsole component pushes the runner forward and amplifies protection from impact. Because of the zigzag fashion of the outsole, the energy return of the athlete is also heightened. This is done through the absorption of the impact at the heel which is then dispersed through the zigzag patterns. This also aids in decreasing strain, especially on the shins.

Midsole

Similar to the Hoka One One Bondi 6, the Reebok Zigwild Trail 6.0 is geared with a foam midsole. It cushions the underfoot for a soft, plush sensation without compromising responsiveness. Because it is extremely lightweight, the midsole foam of the running shoe prevents drag from occurring.

Upper

The upper of the Zigwild Trail 6.0 is composed of mesh fabric that adapts to the shape of the foot. It is also extremely light, preventing added bulk that can cause drag. The perforations implemented on the mesh upper serve as the airflow system of the platform. These maintain an odor-free foot environment. More importantly, the upper does not constrict the movements of the foot as it employs pliable attributes.

To optimize lockdown and security, overlays are welded on the upper. These are intended to promote a more pronounced closure around the foot. Because of the addition of the overlays, support is also targeted. This essentially means that the runner is supplied with a more stabilized performance.

To top it all off, a classic lacing system is utilized by the trail running platform. This gives the wearer the freedom to adjust the fit of the shoe according to what's comfortable.
