Notable Features

The Puma Smash v2 Buck is one of the many modern-day renditions of the iconic tennis-inspired Puma Smash sneakers. Since it released as part of the Puma Smash collection, it retains key features that could easily associate it with the original Puma Smash shoe.

This Buck version got its name "Buck" primarily because it is the nubuck counterpart of the leather-based Puma Smash v2 shoes. This version did away with the usual leather and replaced it with a premium synthetic nubuck for a premium and upgraded look.

Puma Smash v2 Buck History

Since its founding in 1948 by Rudolf “Rudi” Dassler, the Puma brand remains a top player in the sneaker industry up to this day. Equipped with decades-long of expertise and solid audience market and followers, the German sneaker brand continuously produces and manufactures both performance-focused footwear and lifestyle-based ones.

Like Adidas and Nike among many other renowned sneaker brands, Puma has a wide array of classic sneaker models that were initially created for sports but transitioned into being lifestyle sneakers. One of these is the Puma Smash - a tennis shoe turned lifestyle model. It debuted in 1968, and it received a retro release from the brand in 2015.

In 2017, Puma upgraded this classic with improved materials and new technologies in the Puma Smash v2. As with the original Smash, this, too, received countless renditions and colorways. The Puma Smash v2 Buck is one example.

The Puma Smash v2 Buck is basically the nubuck counterpart of the Puma Smash v2, which uses leather as its primary upper material. The Buck version utilizes premium synthetic nubuck upper, lace closure system, and rubber outsole.
