Be amazed by the Puma Mayze

As part of its celebration of women who forwardly move culture and sports, Puma launched another platform iteration to its “She Moves Us” campaign. Tapping Grammy awardee Dua Lipa as its endorser, the Jumping Cat brand launches the Puma Mayze that features mixed heritage and modern Puma sneakers styles.

The standout style of Mayze is inspired by off-beat street fashion. It displays a simple upper seated on top of a bold and edgy stacked-sole, which many consider reminiscent of the popular Fenty Creepers by Rihanna.

Puma Mayze vs Puma Fenty Suede Creeper

Puma Mayze takes on a similar style to the Fenty Suede Creeper. Let's take a look at the features that make these models dissimilar:

  • Both sneakers have thick midsoles yet differ in their striping. The Puma Creeper has a ribbed gum rubber midsole, while the Mayze has a two-toned segmented midsole. Puma branding is also spotted embossed on the Mayze’s midsole.
  • Absent in the Suede Creeper, the Mayze has a heel clip that keeps the heel securely in place.
  • Also not seen on the Creeper is the Mayze's Formstrip logo extended to its heel and touches the heel pull tab.

Jaydee dispels the myth that women can't be experts when it comes to sneakers. With hundreds of sneaker articles under her belt, she gained a surefire edge over others claiming to be experts. Since joining RunRepeat in 2017, she’s published formidable arrays of sneaker write-ups - some covered in lifestyle magazines. Interested in scrutinizing a pair of sneakers? Jaydee is the best person to talk to as she can intuitively chew it over with you even while doing her laundry. When she’s not writing, you can catch Jaydee playing with her two kids, online shopping, and spending far too much time on Instagram.
