5 reasons to buy

  • Dependable traction: The Puma Future Z 1.1 really has an above-average grip not only on the firm ground but also on artificial grass.
  • Stability: The Z-shaped soleplate ensures stability, giving soccer players the confidence to do snappy direction changes.
  • Comfortable forefoot: The materials that make up the forefoot are soft, so they adapt to the contours of the foot quite well.
  • Ease in putting on: The mouth of this soccer shoe is made of flexible Evoknit, so it's quite easy to put on and take off.
  • Nice heel lockdown: The heel counter and overall rear structure provide a truly reliable containment.

3 reasons not to buy

  • Ineffective midfoot band: The FUZIONFIT+ band is among this cleat's highlights, but soccer players feel that it doesn't contribute something special.
  • Lacking width: The Future Z is narrower than other Puma soccer cleats; so those with wide feet are advised to make adjustments.
  • Average touch: Even with its high-tech materials, ball touch is still pretty ordinary.

Bottom line

There is no question that the Puma Future Z 1.1 really gets the job done. However, it is equipped with Puma's most advanced techs, so saying that it "(only) gets the job done" is disappointing. Given the hype that surrounds it, it's only fair to expect the extraordinary, but, no, you are not getting it here.

Puma Future Z 1.1 FG/AG: A new chapter

The Puma Future silo introduces an all-new aesthetic with the Future Z 1.1 cleats for Brazilian soccer great Neymar da Silva Santos Junior. The shoe also comes with notable shoe technologies that aim to ensure the following:

Stable runs. The shoe is equipped with a Z-shaped soleplate that provides stability. It has strategically mounted crescent studs that have the player covered in all directions.

Supportive feel. At the midfoot is the FUZIONFIT+ compression band. It hugs the foot securely without sacrificing comfort and mobility.

Enhanced ball touch. The comfortable engineered upper is further enhanced with Grip Control Pro, a shoe skin technology cleverly designed to increase friction.

Puma Future Z: The cheaper versions

The Puma Future Z 1.1 FG/AG is just one of four Future Z cleats; the other three being the 2.1, 3.1, and 4.1. Aside from the price, these four also differ in terms of the materials and technologies used on them. As the most expensive option, the Future Z 1.1 is also the most technologically advanced.
