Size and fit

The Puma Future Rider is available in men and women sizing. Constructed out of textile with suede and leather overlay, the upper provides the right amount of breathability. It also features Rider Foam soles and a padded tongue and collar for some extra snug and soft feel. The shoe also has a full lace-up closure system for an adjustable fit based on one’s preference.

Puma Future Rider Style

The Puma Future Rider is inspired by one of the most iconic running shoes launched back in the ’80s, the Puma Fast Rider. Thus, it embodies a silhouette that serves a cool retro vibe with a modern touch. The shoe also copied the OG Fast Rider waffle rubber outsoles but reduced, which makes it more stylish and updated.

With the bright color palette, it’s best to pair the shoe with some neutral-colored clothing for a more laid-back and casual look.

Notable Features

Though inspired by a retro shoe, the Puma Future Rider is built with modern materials. With a new and improved version of federbein construction, the shoe features a corrugated outsole for some good traction. Since the shoe is made for running, it also has Puma’s developed midsole TPU heel stabilizer for more steadiness. With this kind of colorway, one can surely bring a pop of color to an outfit.

Puma Future Rider History

Back in the ‘80s, where running was a new thing, Puma released the Rider Series, types of shoes that cater to the needs of people who are involved in running. Because of the series, the German sportswear brand received recognition from the sports industry for its advances.

The line includes the Puma Fast Rider. The shoe is loved by many for having excellent traction, lightness, and comfortability. It featured the latest revolutionary development at the time, the federbein studded sole. The technology was an essential part of success; it provided shock absorption for the shoe.

The Fast Rider started a new era for the brand as the first jogging shoe in Germany. In order to commemorate the OG shoe, Puma continues to spark the retro vibe as they revived the iconic kick with the Puma Future Rider. The updated version incorporates newer and better technology and materials but still retains a vintage semblance to it.
