Spike Plate - Propulsion and durability are two main ingredients in perfecting a multi-purpose track and field shoe. That is why a Pebax® plate is fashioned into the shoe’s construction. It is responsible for allowing a flexible yet grippy track performance while maintaining minimal weight.

Updates to PUMA Evospeed Star 4

  • With multiple functions as its guiding principle, the PUMA Evospeed Star 4 is engineered to meet the different needs of athletes. To achieve such a feat, a new and improved racing last is introduced into the shoe’s composition, keeping the runner on their toes for a more powerful stride.
  • Configured for a propulsive and grippy ride, a 6-pin Pebax® plate is incorporated. These qualities are delivered through the rigid property of the plate and the amount of traction it supplies.
  • For a breathable, lightweight fit, a mesh upper acts as the protective layer of the shoe.

PUMA Evospeed Star 4 Insole

A highly versatile shoe requires an equally durable componentry in order to withstand wear and tear. The same reason is behind the integration of the Pebax® plate into the Evospeed Star 4.

PUMA Evospeed Star 4 Outsole

The Pebax® plate possesses an excellent rigidity-to-weight ratio that enables a propulsive ride. With its properties, it also supplements outstanding surface grip, permitting a safe and stable performance.

To better the durability of this PUMA track spike, EverTrack rubber is strategically placed in high-wear areas.

A full-length EVA foam is supplied to the midsole of the Evospeed Star 4 for in-shoe cushioning. It helps attenuate shock and delivers comfort to the foot.

PUMA Evospeed Star 4 Midsole

The very same midsole material is found in the Adidas Adizero Finesse, ASICS Hyper MD 7, and Saucony Uplift HJ 2

Since the PUMA Evospeed Star 4 is also geared for long-distance running, it features a mesh upper. It has a number of perforations that let in natural air into the foot chamber, facilitating a healthy foot environment.

PUMA Evospeed Star 4 Laces

Its upper design is also fashioned with seamless construction, reducing irritation and promoting sockless usage.

PUMA Evospeed Star 4 Collar

For a snug, lockdown fit, the track shoe has a traditional lacing system. It allows an adjustable and comfortable closure.

PUMA Evospeed Star 4 Forefront
