Puma Caracal History

Puma’s history stretches way back to 1924 when the Dassler Brothers namely, Rudolf and Adolf, founded the company, Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik, translated as “Dassler Shoe Factory,” in the small town of Herzogenaurach in Germany. The brothers were also the renowned “masterminds” of the spike-soled silhouette that was seen on the foot of the American track star, Jesse Owens, during the Summer Olympics in 1936.

Unfortunately, the fame the Dassler brothers shared was momentary as the brothers went on separate ways and decided to establish their own companies. In 1948, Rudolf put up his own shoe company which he first called, “Ruda.” Eventually, the name was changed to “Puma Schuhfabrik Rudolf Dassler” or in short as, “Puma.”

As years passed, Puma has become one of the top-leading and most recognized sports brands in the world, as well as for creating sports shoes for top athletes. Eventually, the brand then jumped aboard the lifestyle ship and produced silhouettes for casual use.

Inspired by the rich history of the brand in the tennis court, the Puma Caracal was developed and exhibits a sleek style low-top structure. This tennis-inspired sneaker is offered in multiple colorways such as the White/Black, Red/Black, White/Silver, and more.
