Profile of the OluKai Kahu

Who is it for? The Kahu is crafted for men who are looking for versatility in their footwear. Its simple yet functional style allows it to be used in various settings, so they don’t have to bring extra trainers to suit the occasion.

What is it for? This OluKai walking shoe is designed for regular use. Its cushioned and supported footbed provides comfort to wearers, regardless if they are just walking around the block or going on their next adventure on foot. It is suitable to be worn on the streets or on the beach. It also does well on boats because of its grippy outsole.

Outsole

Traction. The underside of the OluKai Kahu is covered by a full-length all-weather rubber. It is grippy on various surfaces. Meanwhile, the razor siping increases the hold on slippery floors. The compound is also non-marking, so you don’t have to worry about ugly marks on polished floors.

Midsole

Comfort. The Kahu features a dual-density polyurethane (PU) insole. It is equipped with a gel element in the arch section that amplifies its support.

Hygiene. The top is covered in microfiber. This material is soft, and the oceanic print embodies the seafaring life of the islanders. Its insole is removable and can also be washed to prevent foul odor from developing.

Upper

Coverage. A breathable nylon makes up the top of the OluKai Kahu. It is soft to provide comfort, yet durable to withstand abrasions. The inside is lined with moisture-wicking fabric that also aids in keeping the interior fresh.

Construction. The slip-on silhouette of this walking shoe makes it appealing for anyone who loves an easy-to-wear trainer. It has gore panels that deliver a custom fit while also permitting the quick on-and-off action.

Unique feature. This model employs the Drop-In Heel design. This patented style allows the back panel to be folded down, turning the shoe into a slider. If a better rearfoot hold is needed, simply flip the flap back into place.
