Updates to Oboz Tamarack BDry

  • The Tamarack BDry from Oboz is crafted for tackling the trail challenges faced by hikers and backpackers. It features a watertight leather upper for the foot’s protection against the elements.
  • Providing a sense of security over unpredictable terrain is the hardwearing Granite Peak outsole. What supplies underfoot cushioning, on the other hand, is the shoe’s dual-density midsole and feature-rich O Fit Insole.

Size and fit

A low-top waterproof hiker for men is the Tamarack BDry from Oboz. According to the brand, this footgear has a true-to-size fit. It is offered in full and half sizes. It comes in B – standard and 2E – wide widths. Fit adjustments are possible with the use of the hiker’s classic lacing system.

With its Granite Peak outsole, the Oboz Tamarack BDry is capable of sticking to a variety of outdoor surfaces. The 4-millimeter, multi-directional lugs it comes built with are arranged in such a geometry that allows users to have a firmer foothold on loose soil and along off-camber sections of the trail.

Giving wearers a stable and terrain-protected ride is the shoe’s dual-density EVA midsole. Oboz designers built it with two other subcomponents: a lightweight nylon shank and a chassis made of TPU. The former improves arch support, while the latter doubles down on torsional stability and underfoot protection.

Contributing to the midsole’s ability to provide comfort is the O Fit Insole. This company-exclusive tri-density EVA footbed is anatomically designed to provide multi-zone cushioning and enhanced arch support.

The Oboz Tamarack BDry’s low-cut upper is made with a combination of waterproof nubuck leather and abrasion-resistant fabric. Its main bootie is imbued with BDry—a brand-owned technology that gives the shoe adequate breathability and protection against most types of wet elements. It comes with a supportive heel counter and a protective toe cap, both of which are made of rubber. It also has a pull loop at the heel, making on and off fast and convenient.
