Nike Rubber Dunk x Off-White: Eccentric yet classic

Nike and Virgil Abloh continue their fashionable relationship by releasing all-new iterations for 2020. Known for his unorthodox designs, Virgil added tons of different elements to the classic Dunk silhouette to come up with his signature look. Abloh combined unlikely materials on the Nike Air Rubber Dunk x Off-White to develop a one-off iteration. It displays a familiar style since its look is from the styles of the Nike Dunk and the Nike P6000

Key features:

This sneaker is no different from the other Off-White kicks as it is infused with technologies and materials that receive mixed reviews from many fans and onlookers.

  • Instead of the classic leather base layer, this model is made of breathable mesh with leather straps on the midfoot. These reworked details create a more ventilated kick with ample foot support.
  • Nike used rubber and suede on its toe box to boost its overall durability, a nod to the skateboarding sneakers.
  • Stirred by the Air Max sneakers, this model has the visible Air unit on its heel, which delivers bouncy strides to its wearers. To add his signature style, except in the University Gold colorway, Abloh enclosed the Air unit with rubber in a contrasting hue for a standout appeal.
  • Akin to other Off-White models, this model has several deconstructed elements, such as exposed foam on the tongue, branded laces, and the orange zip tie with a suede finish. Meanwhile, the signature Off-White text is displayed on the medial side of the shoe.
