Who should NOT buy the Kyrie Flytrap 5 from Nike

The 5th Nike Kyrie Flytrap didn't seem to be for those who have wide feet. This shoe model also appeared to be not for those who are heavier and bigger; they are better off with the Nike LeBron basketball shoes, which are known to have really plush cushioning systems.

Grippy on dust-free courts

The Nike Kyrie Flytrap 5 had really nice traction on courts that are clean.

You might have problems with this on dirtier courts. The outsole attracted a lot of dust, negatively affecting the bite.

Outdoor use

The outsole rubber is durable enough to withstand continued usage even on outdoor courts.

The Nike Kyrie Flytrap 5 is responsive

The Zoom unit in the forefoot is noticeably bouncy, and it successfully fueled take-offs and sprints.

Court feel was also pretty much pronounced because of the shoe's low-to-the-ground structure. However, the heel easily bottoms out so impact protection might NOT be that great.

No problems with support, lockdown, and stability

The fifth Flytrap provided sufficient lateral support even if the materials were thin and quite minimal.

Lateral stability was also not a problem even if the shoe didn't have a prominent outrigger.

Smooth steps ensured!

The outsole was a bit rounded on the sides, so heel-to-toe transition was quite smooth. This basketball shoe from Nike surely did not feel like a slapper.

The Flytrap 5 is true to size

This Nike budget shoe fit as expected. Those with normal-sized feet can get their usual Nike sizes.
