Good to know

  • The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35 Premium is a neutral running shoe that’s designed for the roads. It is also constructed with the female foot-dimensions in mind as its Cushlon-and-Zoom-Air midsole is tuned to welcome the movement and anatomy of a woman’s foot.
  • The differences between this model and the original Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35 are the leather tongue, the metal-tipped wax laces, and sparing use of overlays (in this case, synthetics prints are only on the eyelets and the heel).

The Premium version of the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35 has a standard running shoe length, so it accommodates the usual sizing expectations of consumers. When it comes to width, the available option is B – Medium as it is only available in a version that welcomes women’s foot measurements.

The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35 Premium features Duralon blown rubber in the forefoot section of the outsole and BRS 1000 in the heel and other impact-sensitive points. The former offers a bit of cushioning on top of traction and abrasion protection because it has a spongy construction; the latter brings high resistance to wear-and-tear through its durable build.

Cushlon is a high-quality cushioning compound that is responsible for carrying the foot throughout the running session. Its robust assembly allows it to last long. Its responsive yet slightly firm build encourages energized toe-offs.

A Zoom Air unit is placed inside the Cushlon unit. This midsole material is commonly present in some popular Nike running shoes. This compressed air-filled plastic unit goes from the heel to the toe. It helps to mitigate impact shock during the landing phase and enable the forefoot lift.

The upper unit of the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35 Premium features engineered mesh. This cloth-like material welcomes the natural shape and motion of the human foot. It has breathing holes that permit air into the foot-chamber.

Some overlays are printed onto the façade, but they’re not visually intrusive or structurally immense. The subtle placement of these synthetic prints allows them to provide targeted security throughout the run. Also, they are responsible for bolstering the eyelets and the heel.

The padded tongue and collar are meant to prevent in-shoe wobbling and accidental shoe-removals.

The tongue unit has a leather exterior to provide a premium look.

The lacing system involves flat laces, reinforced eyelets, and a set of Flywire cables. These elements band together to lock the foot in place and to ensure a foot-wrap that is customizable.
