Nike Air Max Fly History
Mario Franklin Rudy is an aerospace engineer that introduced the idea of placing a tiny bag of Air into the heel for impact protection. In more than 23 companies, only Phil Knight found the concept promising.
Knight used the prototype and tested it by running around the Beaverton Campus. He was astounded by the responsive and smooth ride it provided. It was then that the Air was born in Nike. Among the many shoes that were released with that technology is the low-top Nike Air Max Fly.
The official release date of the shoe was during the Air Max Day, March 26, 2019. It features an elevated and hybrid sole unit with a lightweight foam on the forefoot.
Made with mesh material, the one-piece upper with heat-pressed overlays provides foot breathability. It has a rubber outsole for a smooth transition from heel to toe and excellent traction.
