Nike Air Force 1 Flyleather: Fashionable and sustainable

With Nike's effort to continue its eco-conscious initiatives, the brand reworked the Nike Air Force 1 with its Flyleather technology. The Nike Air Force 1 Flyleather is the brand's answer to Adidas' Parley for the Oceans. This kick displays a leather upper with the iconic Air-Sole cushioning underfoot. Instead of the usual Nike tag on the tongue, this model has the FL branding visibly stitched.

Flyleather technology

Introduced in 2017, the Flyleather technology aims to attract potential buyers and impress its existing fans by providing lighter, more durable, and lesser carbon footprint sneaker. This innovative technology is made of leather mixed with 50% recycled leather fiber. This method results in a 40% lighter leather than any other leather sneaker available in the market.

What's the latest?

In 2020, Nike collaborated with Berlin-based artist Rouhan Wang to rework the Air Force 1 Flyleather. Wang covered the AF1 Flyleather with her multi-colored illustration and revamped branding found on the tongue, heel tab, and insole.
