Use - As the name pronounces, the MD500 v3 is a running spike that’s best suited for mid-distance races. These events can range from 400 meters to 5000 meters. Since it’s also engineered for versatility, the track spike is also ideal for hurdles and jumping meets.

Spike Type - There are six detachable pyramid spikes designated to the track shoe. These are ¼ inch in length for featherlight, multi-surface traction.

Spike Plate - A six-pin Pebax® plate is equipped to the track spike. It is fashioned to host the changeable pins for versatile grip. It also keeps a fair balance of rigidity and weight for a propulsive running experience.

The notable refinement made to the New Balance MD500 v3 is its redesigned upper. With this, it sports the look of speed and aggressive track performance.

For the remainder of the track spike's makeup, the same components from the previous model are incorporated. For instance, its plate is still the same polymer-based distance plate—Pebax® plate. This is intended for lightweight, superior surface grip.

Targeting breathability, synthetic mesh still serves as the outer coverage of the middle-distance running shoe. It maintains a light profile to adhere to the ultra-light composition of the running shoe.

The New Balance MD500 v3 is listed in standard sizing measurement for both men and women. Users can get a pair with their usual size preference.

To provide a snug, well-ventilated fit, a synthetic mesh upper is implemented on the platform. It presents an adaptive fit, keeping the foot in place. To promote torsional rigidity and structure, thin overlays are bonded to the upper. Lastly, the traditional lacing system of the track spike offers an adjustable fit, attending to the various needs of different users.

Like most track and field spikes, the MD500 v3 is furnished with a Pebax® plate. It has a six-pin style for unmatched traction on the track surface. It is made of thermoplastic polymer, consisting of high-strength properties for sturdiness. Its construction also promotes shock attenuation and underfoot cushioning for comfort.

A thin foam acts as the midsole component of the New Balance MD500 v3. It keeps a thin frame to cohere to the lightness of the track spike. This midsole foam also cushions the foot for superior in-shoe comfort.

Intended for ventilation, a synthetic mesh upper is integrated into the shoe’s fashion. It allows sufficient airflow into the foot chamber, keeping the foot free from odor and bacteria. Its flexible qualities allow it to conform to the shape of the foot for security.

Thin, vibrant overlays are also welded to the upper for added visibility and reinforcement. It keeps the foot locked in place.

A classic lace-up closure provides the wearer a dialed-in, accurate fit. The same fastening system is observed in the Nike Zoom Rival S 9.
