Size and fit

Both men's and women's sizes are available for the Native AP Mercury Liteknit. It comes in men’s 4-13 and women’s 6-12, in medium width. The sneaker fits true to size. Its Liteknit upper not only delivers a well-ventilated feel but also provides a flexible fit, ideal for movement. With a low-top structure, the ankle is left to move freely. Although there are laces at the front, they may not be necessary for adjusting the fit as the shoe functions as a supple slip-on.

Native AP Mercury Liteknit Style

The stretchy material that makes up the upper of the low-top Native AP Mercury Liteknit allows the user to wear it conveniently. It also has a versatile, sporty look that can be paired with active wear or casual clothes. Its lightweight construction makes it an excellent everyday shoe, perfect for mixing and matching with a variety of outfits.

Leggings or pants along with t-shirts create a relaxed, athletic appeal when paired with these kicks. Shorts or skirts are also a good option for turning up with a casual and preppy flair. The colors available for this model are in neutral or soft hues, making the shoe ideal for light clothing in the summer season.

Notable Features

Interlocking woven fibers create a lighter type of elastic knit material in the Native AP Mercury Liteknit. The sneaker has an almost monochrome look, complete with speckled rope laces for some contrast. Rubber inserts are incorporated into the toe and heel for added durability. A pull tab at the rear helps in easing the foot in and out. It also bears the Native logo for simple and subtle branding.

Native AP Mercury Liteknit History

A relatively young brand, Native Shoes was founded in 2009 in Vancouver by Damian Van Zyll De Jong. With no initial experience in the footwear industry, he learned as much as he could from people he knew in the industry, as well as studying about the manufacturing process. From the beginning, he had set his mind that his shoe collection wouldn’t feature vulcanized or canvas shoes. His goal was to create modern classics for the future, focusing on lightweight shoes with advanced features.

As soon as he was ready, he launched the brand and began producing footwear for men, women, and kids, quickly expanding to over 30 other countries. Today, Native is known for its colorful designs and eye-catching styles. Typically, the brand’s shoes are made up of a seamless, injection-molded EVA unit, which is completely anti-microbial because it’s made up of closed-cell foam.

Designs from the brand are kept minimal and simple, which has made it a favorite among many today. Native puts much focus on making their shoes lightweight, making them ideal for walking and many other activities. One model from the company which is gaining more and more fans is the AP Mercury Liteknit, from the Apollo series.

It's an athletic-inspired, straightforward shoe that is designed as a slip-on, even if there are laces at the front to mimic a traditional sneaker. Because of this feature, the shoe can be slipped on and off easily for a convenient and comfortable style which can be taken anywhere. It's available in neutral and pastel shades, perfect for men and women who want to add a pop of color to any day.
