2 reasons not to buy

  • Some owners didn’t like how their feet sweat profusely while nestled on the sandal’s footbed.
  • A couple of testers found themselves badly pronating in their Siren Wrap Q2s, and they weren’t happy about that at all.

Bottom line

A sandal that looks pretty and fits well easily describes the Merrell Siren Wrap Q2. That said, the footwear begs to be seen in a different kind of light as it also offers impressive amounts of comfort and versatility. However, its sweat-inducing footbed placed unsightly wrinkles in its proverbial smooth slate. In the end, Merrell’s Siren Wrap Q2 remains an exciting footgear to own despite its shortcomings.

  • The Merrell Siren Wrap Q2 has a lightweight upper made with a combination of synthetic fabric and waterproof nubuck leather. Its padded liner is provided by Lycra.
  • For ground contact protection and balance, Merrell engineers equipped the Siren Wrap Q2 with the Q Form 2 midsole. This cushy platform is designed to promote the proper alignment of women’s lower extremities. It is also infused with Merrell’s In-Board Compression Molded footframe for extra cushioning.

A fairly true-to-size hiking sandal for women is the Merrell Siren Wrap Q2. It comes in standard width and sizes. Its adjustable ankle strap offers users a customized fit.

The sandal’s source of traction is none other than Merrell’s own M-Select Grip outsole. It is designed to stick into various kinds of surfaces with its rubber construction and 3-millimeter deep lugs. It maintains its grip performance by systematically shedding away debris.

Allowing hikers to keep their balance steady on uneven surfaces and at the same time giving them ample cushioning is the Siren Wrap Q2’s Q Form 2 dual-density midsole. It is engineered with a heel-centering technology. Its heel zone houses the Merrell Air Cushion unit which doubles down on shock mitigation.

Integrated to the midsole is the sandal’s textured ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) footbed. It offers extra comfort underfoot thanks to its springy yet resilient construction.

The majority of the Siren Wrap Q2’s closed-toe upper is made up of waterproof nubuck leather, allowing the sandal to withstand wet elements adequately. It is, in places, constructed with mesh and webbing, giving the footwear a lightweight and durable enclosure. Its interior is amply cushioned and has a soft feel thanks to Lycra’s neoprene lining.

An adjustable heel strap virtually makes up the sandal’s entire closure system. It is configured and secured with the use of its hook-and-loop fasteners.
