This waterproof shoe for hikers sports a Vibram Megagrip outsole for ground adherence. It is made of a specially formulated Megagrip compound, making it durable and abrasion-resistant. Its profile is filled with 5mm-deep rectangular lugs to render multi-directional traction on both wet and dry terrain. The sole is furnished with a heel brake and a grooved rearfoot area for extra stopping power when tackling downhill conditions. Its front section covers an area of the forefoot zone to protect the user’s toes from stubbing.

The Merrell Siren 3 Waterproof comes with a proprietary Q Form 2 dual-density midsole made of EVA foam. Its construction comes with a heel-centering technology that delivers a cushioned ride specific to women. It works in tandem with a patented Kinetic Fit Tri insole to deliver extra cushioning and underfoot comfort. The contoured design of this removable component also offers support to the foot’s three major arches.

The Merrell Siren 3 Waterproof features an upper made of mesh fabric, making it a lightweight shoe for hikers. It is reinforced with TPU overlays and a rubber rand to optimize durability. The latter also grants added protection from various trail dangers. A patented M Select Dry membrane is integrated into the upper to prevent water intrusions. Moreover, its design also allows for excess moisture and heat to pass through.

This Merrell outdoor shoe for hikers uses a Hyperlock molded TPU counter for heel support. Its lacing system comes with a series of webbing loops to help the wearer manage the footgear’s fit. A pull tab is found at the back of the collar to facilitate easy on and off.
