Who should buy the Lowa Walker GTX
Another premium product from Lowa, the Walker GTX is a well-rounded shoe that you can use for hiking, work, travel, and everyday activities. It is a solid option if you:
- Prefer a hiking shoe that provides durability on and off the trail.
- Prefer a hiking shoe that keeps the feet dry even in severely wet conditions.
- Prefer a hiking shoe that allows wearers to hike with ease, speed, and agility.
Excellent grip and traction on varying surfaces
The LOWA Speedhiking outsole has a large profile and wide contact area for enhanced grip and traction on varying surfaces, including loose dirt, mud, rocky ground, and smooth boulders.
All-terrain rubber sole
The aggressive lugs, along with the homogeneous, fatigue-retarding rolling properties of this all-terrain rubber sole make it ideal for fast hikers and mountain runners.
Superior shock-absorbing cushioning
Considered a heavy-duty hiker, the Walker Gore-Tex shoes from Lowa features a midsole made of Polyurethane (PU). Aside from being really durable, this material is also touted for its superior shock-absorbing qualities. Unlike EVA, it doesn't compress easily so it lasts longer than other types of materials used for cushioning footwear.
Supportive and comfortable cushioning
In this shoe, the midsole is attached to the upper through a complex process called "double injection molding" for precision, clean-cut design, and durability. For added support and comfort, the Walker GTX hiker also comes with a removable insole.
Suitable for different occasions
The upper is made of Nubuck leather. It's available in two colorways - Espresso and Black. It features a streamlined design with embosses, making it suitable for different occasions. The neutral colors also ensure that the Lowa Walker GTX blends beautifully with any outfit.
Water-resistant
While Nubuck leather is already water-resistant, this shoe still integrates a Gore-Tex waterproof membrane for added protection against rain or water intrusion. Stepping on shallow puddles or wet grass won't be an issue. But like any other low-cut shoe, water can get in through the collar during torrential rains. In such conditions, it's best to use gaiters for added protection.
Nice to know
-This model makes use of Monowrap Technology - an exclusive PU frame technology by Lowa that provides lateral support and stability to the shoe.
-It also integrates a nylon stabilizing element for optimal support during recreational activities.
