Lowa Walker GTX notable features

-With uppers made of premium Nubuck leather, anyone using the Lowa Walker GTX can count on its durability on and off the trail. Lining the shoe interior is a Gore-Tex waterproof membrane that keeps the feet dry even in severely wet conditions.

-Designed to allow wearers to hike with ease, speed, and agility, this shoe features the LOWA Speedhiking outsole with multidirectional lugs for added grip and traction.

-For its cushioning, this footwear uses the DynaPU midsole with shock-absorbing zones for comfort, stability, and support.

Size and fit

The Lowa Walker GTX is a low-cut shoe available in men and women's sizes. It has quite a roomy toe box that promotes the natural movement of the toes. Since it's made of leather, it adapts to the shape of the foot, giving the wearer a snug fit. Also, this shoe features a traditional lace-up closure with robust metal eyelets for sure-footed steps even on uneven ground.

Outsole

The LOWA Speedhiking outsole has a large profile and wide contact area for enhanced grip and traction on varying surfaces, including loose dirt, mud, rocky ground, and smooth boulders. The aggressive lugs, along with the homogeneous, fatigue-retarding rolling properties of this all-terrain rubber sole make it ideal for fast hikers and mountain runners.

Midsole

Considered a heavy-duty hiker, the Walker Gore-Tex shoes from Lowa features a midsole made of Polyurethane (PU). Aside from being really durable, this material is also touted for its superior shock-absorbing qualities. Unlike EVA, it doesn't compress easily so it lasts longer than other types of materials used for cushioning footwear.

In this shoe, the midsole is attached to the upper through a complex process called "double injection-molding" for precision, clean-cut design, and durability. For added support and comfort, the Walker GTX hiker also comes with a removable insole.

Upper

The upper is made of Nubuck leather. It's available in two colorways - Espresso and Black. It features a streamlined design with embosses, making it suitable for different occasions. The neutral colors also ensure that the Lowa Walker GTX blends beautifully with any outfit.

While Nubuck leather is already water-resistant, this shoe still integrates a Gore-Tex waterproof membrane for added protection against rain or water intrusion. Stepping on shallow puddles or wet grass won't be an issue. But like any other low-cut shoe, water can get in through the collar during torrential rains. In such conditions, it's best to use gaiters for added protection.

Nice to know

-This model makes use of Monowrap Technology - an exclusive PU frame technology by Lowa that provides lateral support and stability to the shoe.

-It also integrates a nylon stabilizing element for optimal support during recreational activities.
