Midsole. This Lowa rock shoe uses a medium-stiff midsole. It provides a decent amount of underfoot rigidity without sacrificing the shoe’s sensitivity.
Outsole. The Falco VCR carries the brand-owned LC SuperGrip outsole. This rubber is formulated to provide a climbing-oriented performance, maximizing grip on almost all types of terrain. It also boasts a good level of resistance against abrasion; thus, extending its usable life.
Lowa brand designers use a microfiber upper lined with an antimicrobial fabric in the Falco VCR. This duo enhances the climber’s comfort in every ascent. The antibacterial Bio-Active lining prevents the development of odor, granting a fresh interior. On the exterior, the base of the upper is wrapped with a sturdy rubber to optimize its abrasion resistance.
The closure system uses three Velcro straps for fit management. Lastly, the tabs attached at the back of the shoe facilitates quick on and off. These loops can also be used by climbers to hang their shoes on their pack after each send.
