Who should buy the Lowa Aerox GTX Lo Surround
The Aerox GTX Lo Surround is yet another Lowa achievement that outdoor enthusiasts would find difficult to resist. It is a solid option if you:
- Prefer a lightweight hiking footgear intended for adventurers needing an athletic kind of performance on the trail.
- Prefer a hiking shoe that provides enhanced breathability.
- Prefer a hiking shoe that offers improved mobility on level surfaces.
Provides sufficient grip on slippery trails
This waterproof hiker from Lowa provides sufficient grip on slippery trails with its abrasion-resistant rubber outsole, called Surround Trac. Multi-directional lugs are engineered strategically around its surface, delivering enhanced grip over soft-soiled terrain. It also comes with a heel brake and a toothy rear region to grant hikers improved maneuverability during descents.
Shock absorbing and stable cushioning
The Aerox GTX Lo Surround is built with the Double Injection DynaPU midsole with shock-absorbing zones for terrain protection, stability, and cushioning. The holes in its frame double down on ventilation by expelling heat underfoot. Within its layer are two Lowa-exclusive technologies: a soft stabilizer and the Monowrap Frame. The former contributes to the midsole’s stabilizing capability, while the latter provides adventurers with increased lateral support.
Keeps the foot dry and fresh
Additional underfoot comfort is made possible by the shoe’s removable footbed. It has a cupped design around the heel for added support. It also has perforations to help keep the foot dry and fresh for longer.
Waterproof and breathable
Enclosing the foot in the Lowa Aero GTX Lo Surround is the footwear’s part microfiber, part synthetic below-the-ankle upper. It is imbued with Gore-Tex Surround, making the gear waterproof and breathable in virtually every direction. Both its sides are engineered with synthetic overlays for scuff protection.
Protective toe rand
These overlays have a slightly different look in the women’s version. Lowa designers also furnished the hiker’s upper with a supportive heel counter and a protective toe rand.
Secured closure system
The footgear’s closure system is comprised of a string-like cord for lace and combination eyelets. The lace comes with an adjustable slider made of hard plastic. The remainder of the lace may be tucked securely through the tongue’s lace keeper.
