Good to know
The Lakai Porter shoes are available in men’s sizing. Men can choose from sizes 5 to 14. Women’s sizes are offered as well. Also, it helps to keep in mind that these Porters reportedly runs small, a half size smaller.
The Porter is a low-top sneaker, so it does not restrict ankle motion. Such feature lets the wearer adapt to sudden or random foot transitions. A lace-up closure fastens up the Porter and locks the foot in with a personalized fit.
Since these Porters look so smooth and easy on the eyes, anyone can dress them up effortlessly with a wide range of everyday casual staples. With these Porters, one can never go wrong with a pair of classic denims, be it slim-fit, regular, light-washed, or ripped. A key finisher to this street-wise look is a plaid flannel shirt or a hoodie.
The Porters are available in a variety of colorways to help you match them up with your style: White, Black, Grey Suede, Navy, Beige, Charcoal, and more. Depending on the colorway, the shoe one chooses may be in suede, canvas, or vegan materials.
Though not having much in terms of technical features, the Porter has quite the gift of keeping things smooth and simple with its to-the-point design. Its classic vulcanized low-profile build delivers the skating essentials: grip, board feel, flexibility, comfort, and cushioning.
Behind Lakai is the tale of two skateboarders—Mike Carroll and Rick Howard—who dedicated themselves to impact the skateboarding world by starting their own skate shoe company. That was Lakai Limited Footwear, launched in California in 1999.
Together, they built a team, comprised of designers and pro-skaters, to produce skate shoes genuinely rooted in its heritage. Among which they created is the Lakai Porter, which bears unmistakable marks of a genuine Lakai skate shoe.
