The Lacoste Europa is exclusively offered in men’s sizes. Ladies who want to own a pair should go a size down from their standard shoe size. This pair utilizes a lace-up closure with tonal flat laces for a secure, lockdown fit.

Lacoste Europa Style

Premium leather uppers with subtle contrast details and the iconic crocodile symbol at the midfoot ensure this kick has standout appeal. Its tennis-inspired silhouette hints at Lacoste's on-court origins and provides a timeless design that goes beyond trends.

Let it put a little pep in your step and outfit by pairing it with casual staples such as denim jeans and a polo shirt for a casual preppy look on a day of hanging out. Or dress it up with chinos and a crisp button-down to match with the shoe's classy and elegant demeanor.

Notable Features

The shoe's low-top leather upper displays a minimal design with midfoot details that include a contrast overlay and crocodile logo that together exudes a contemporary court-inspired design. Its lightly padded collar and tongue coupled with an Ortholite padded insole all contribute to providing in-step cushioning and comfort. Finally, a simple rubber sole underscores all of these with embossed wordmarks on the lateral side and a stripe detailing on the outsole.

Lacoste Europa History

Lacoste is a French clothing company founded by tennis player René Lacoste and businessman André Gillier in 1933. The business started out from René's idea of producing short-sleeved polo shirts to play tennis. The sport had strict rules when it came to dress codes, and that included a long-sleeved top, which René found to be very uncomfortable during a tennis match. So he asked the help of André, who invented the cotton knit and utilized it in creating the now famous Lacoste polo shirt. From there the brand just became bigger and bigger.

The polo shirt with a crocodile logo on the left chest part became Lacoste's emblem and frontrunner, but it's just the tip of the brand's functional yet fashionable product range. In 1952 Lacoste moved to the US and soon after became a status symbol for the elite who are into sports. With their success, the brand extended its product inventory to include jackets, perfumes, and shoes.

One of their many footwear models is the Lacoste Europa, a sneaker that dons an iconic tennis style. Staying true to its court heritage, its minimally designed upper comes in various monochromatic colorways that are easy to dress. The shoe is also available in different iterations such as textured uppers and tricolored accents.
