Terrain balance is brought forth by the boot’s injection-molded midsole. It comes engineered with a brand-owned technology called STB control system which ups its stability game. This proprietary tech also gives the midsole a bit more flexibility.
La Sportiva’s TX5 GTX is a generally true-to-size, high-top leather boot for male backpackers. It is offered in regular width in a range of whole and half sizes. Its lace-up closure makes fit adjustments and cinching the foot firmly in place possible.
This waterproof hiker provides sufficient traction over slippery surfaces thanks to its Vibram Megagrip outsole. It comes with aggressively shaped lugs and the Impact Brake System, both of which bolster the outsole’s grip performance.
An injection-molded midsole made of EVA is the component responsible for giving users the right amount stability and cushioning over uneven terrain. It has a TPU stabilizer for enhanced balance on considerably rough surfaces. For extra underfoot comfort, on the other hand, this cushy layer is paired with a 4-mm thick footbed from Ortholite.
The high-cut upper of the La Sportiva TX5 GTX is made of nubuck leather. Both its abrasion-resistant rubber rand and sturdy toe cap are courtesy of Vibram. Since it's a boot with Gore-Tex’s liner (GTX Extended Comfort), trekkers can expect a watertight yet breathable backpacking experience in it.
