Who should buy the KEEN Durand Mid Waterproof
The Durand Mid Waterproof is quite deserving of people’s attention thanks to its awe-inspiring features and traits. It is a solid option if you:
- Prefer a hiking boot that offers water protection, support, and comfort.
- Prefer a hiking boot that delivers smoother heel stikes and toe offs.
Updates to :name
- The KEEN Durand Mid Waterproof is designed to help its wearers negotiate unpredictable trails with support, protection, and comfort. It is imbued with a company-owned waterproof membrane to keep most types of wet elements at bay.
- Delivering smoother heel strikes and toe-offs is the Durand Mid Waterproof’s rockered sole unit. It is made up primarily of the boot’s durable outsole and stabilizing midsole.
Size and fit
KEEN’s Durand Mid Waterproof is a relatively true-to-size, mid-cut leather footgear for male and female hikers. The width offerings for men are D – standard boots and 2E – wide boots. For women, only B – standard boots are available. Its sizing options consist of half and whole sizes. Owners can make changes to its fit thanks to the footwear’s ghillie-style lacing system with a contoured heel lock.
Provides adequate stickiness on tricky backcountry surfaces
A dual-compound outsole made of rubber is the component responsible for giving wearers adequate stickiness on tricky backcountry surfaces. It is capable of biting into the softer sections of the trail with its multi-sided lugs.
Offers additional control and security
It also comes with treaded heel and forefoot zones to provide users with additional control and security on descents and ascents.
Shock-absorbing cushioning
What provides hikers with enough stability and cushioning underfoot is the Durand Mid Waterproof polyurethane (PU) midsole. It is built to absorb shock proactively with every step.
Excellent arch support
It has a TPU shank embedded in its midfoot section for enhanced arch support. It comes by default with a Metatomical footbed. This removable insole ups the midsole’s ability to provide cushioning. It also doubles down on arch support.
Waterproof and breathable
The over-the-ankle upper of this KEEN footgear is made with a combination of waterproof nubuck leather and mesh fabric. Its liner is engineered with KEEN.Dry—a proprietary technology that makes the shoe watertight and breathable at the same time. For forefoot protection, the boot is equipped with a sturdy toe cap. For extra rearfoot support, on the other hand, it is built with a heavy-duty overlay at the heel.
Secure lockdown
Its front closure consists of combination eyelets and synthetic lace. The fabric loops at the ankle are part of the heel lock system which improves the boot’s heel support when utilized.
